Our Team

Michelle Matlin - CPA

Michelle has over 25 years of experience in public and corporate accounting focusing on all aspects of business, individual, and estate and trust taxation, and small to medium business accounting and finance. She consults on general business practices to companies providing the full spectrum of business advisory services such as entity selection, accounting software implementation and training, internal controls, and human resource issues to ensure the business succeeds. With clients from coast to coast and her background in multistate corporate accounting, Michelle has the knowledge and background to deal with the many intricacies of multistate business and taxation.

Community Involvement:

  • A CALCPA volunteer teaching financial literacy to public high school students so they will have critical information to become financially savvy early in their adult (and college) years.
  • Continues participant of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer since 2004 in memory of a friend and client and in honor of many survivor friends and clients.
  • A "Rescue Mom" for many pound puppies and kitties.


Originally from Illinois, Michelle and her husband, Dan, live in Dublin, CA with their 3 senior pound puppies, Dudley, Shadow, and Harley and three pound kitties, Spot, Flash, and Buddy. Post tax season you will always find her on a beach somewhere relaxing while "Dive Master Dan" enjoys the cooler climate underwater. She has collected turtles since she rescued a box turtle at age six; the collection now numbers over 200 from all around the world, none of which require feeding.

Kathryn Lamb-Tansey - Project Manager

Kathy has a varied skill set, coming to us with a background in budget and administrative management. She has two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and Psychology from CSU, Sacramento. She is a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer and has completed a concentration in Human Resources through extension from CSU, East Bay. She is currently enrolled in the Accounting Specialist Certificate Program through UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. Kathy's educational background and abilities are highly valued by our clients.

Community Involvement:

    Kathy is an active parent leader at her children's schools and has held many different PTA offices, including President, Vice-President, and Parliamentarian. She has been a school board appointed member of several district wide committees and served as an elected representative to the high school's site council.
